Wang Newton, Coverboy.

An image that I shot of Wang Newton, aka Mei-yann on the cover of The Stranger...
Yeah, that's right, Mei-yann is a girl. Wang is her comedic alter ego.

Andy Ofiesh - The Naked Comic

For my continuing series on comedians I photographed Andy Ofiesh, aka The Naked Comic. I think this quote sums it up best... "Once a month, [Andy] does onstage what most of us could only imagine in our worst nightmare: naked stand-up-comedy...What's more astonishing is that Ofiesh has persuaded other performers to try nude stand-up, too, and now hosts "the Naked Comedy Showcase." — Nick Zaino, Boston Globe

Yeah, that's right, not only does he do his act in the buff (he's hilarious by the way), he convinces other comedians to bare all for his shows in Boston and NYC. Here is a link to Andy's website.

Tabasco

I have a bunch of new work to post... whenever I can find the time. Here is an ad we recently shot for Tabasco featuring Mike Golic. I have to admit, Tabasco really is good on pizza. Give it a try!

Here is the commercial that was part of the campaign.

Interview with PetaPixel

I recently had an interview with PetaPixel, here's a link to the article on their site...

Alcoholidays!

Last month we shot the Alcoholidays project with the guys at One Trick Pony. Check out the Alocholidays site to see it in it's full awesomeness...

Blue Man Group

Several months back we shot a series of ads for the Blue Man Group. We shot magazine ads, billboards, posters, buswraps... we covered it all. Here are a couple of the ads and pics of them in their environment, which is a real treat for me because I often do not get to see the final work.

Plus a short behind the scenes vid...

Smokestack video

AfterCapture Magazine features an article about lil' ol' me this month. My Twilight photograph is on the cover. Click here to read it online....

Behind the Lens: The Dirt on Mike Rowe

PDN included a story about the Dirty Jobs ad in their February issue.

The Dirt on Mike Rowe
Prepare to be grossed out. Makeup artists actually covered Discovery Channel star Mike Rowe with layers upon layers of filth for this "Dirty Jobs" ad. Rowe is the cheerful host of a show about hard-working people who deal with stuff you'd rather not touch....

Kimbra - shout out

Super spectacular hand model Kimbra Hickey taking questions at the Twilight party at Borders in NYC. Can't believe that I shot that cover four years ago, it is still one of my most popular images.

Go Kimbra, you PR machine!

Failing Up

Check out this month's issue of BusinessWeek SmallBiz, I shot the cover story. We traveled the U.S. and Canada photographing entrepreneurs that turned a business failure into a business success... turning lemons into lemonade. That was part of the assignment, work lemons into each shot and have it reflect each individuals story, personality or philosophy. Here are a few of the shots...

Here is my favorite, Josh and Jordan, two dot-commers that ain't scared of no lemons!

Eva, she fought for the life of her company and now her bowl runneth over... literally.

Roy, after a messy split with his former company he formed his own.

Andy, "morn the loss of a job and then move on."

Wassup Americans

12:30 AM in midtown Manhattan, CHEERS, SHOUTS, CAR HORNS...
Is it New Years Eve already? No, we just elected out next president. I have never experienced that kind of spontaneous reaction to a presidential election! Congratulations President Elect Obama.

Dirty Jobs!

I shot a campaign for Discovery Channel last month for the new season of Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe. Mike is the real deal, the guy on TV is the same guy in real life. This may have been his dirtiest job ever, just look at what we did to the man!

Now that the ad is out people have been asking questions about the shoot and as luck would have it Nick shot some video so you can have a little behind the scenes peak...

There is also a video on the discovery website of Mike getting dirty with the help of special effects artist Jane Choi, click the pic below...
